You are not alone. Many children struggle with reading and comprehension. In fact, 1 in 4 children in America grow up without learning to read, and 14 of every 100 adults in the United States are illiterate.
To take it a step further, almost a quarter of our adult population in the U.S. cannot read above basic competency levels.
Had these adults been properly educated and given the right tools to help them succeed from the beginning, imagine what an impact there would be on those peoples’ lives and in their communities. For instance, over $70 million in healthcare costs are attributed to literacy issues in the U.S. each year.
